Why Gavalia

Luxury has a noise problem. Every brand claims heritage, every hotel claims to be iconic and every list is sponsored by someone. Gavalia exists to cut through that. We ask the questions a well-informed friend would ask: What does it actually cost? Does it hold its value? Will you still love it in ten years? Is there a better version for less?

How we choose

Our guides are curated by the editorial team, not ranked by affiliate revenue. We do not sell products, we do not accept paid placements in the guides and we do not run affiliate links. Where we mention prices, they are indicative list prices at the time of writing and will move. Where we describe a property market, we quote ranges, not promises.
